When John Stamos and Caitlin McHugh started dating in 2016, they knew something was different about their relationship. Even though John was just getting out of a heartbreaking divorce with Rebecca Romijn, the love he felt for Caitlin seemed to bring him back to life. By all accounts, the curse of Hollywood relationships missed them. This was the real deal!
That deep, all-encompassing love is why John decided to propose to the stunning brunette model — but their tale was just getting started…
After roughly two years of dating, John’s feelings remained just as strong as the first day they met, and he wanted to make the ultimate commitment to his leading lady.
ABC correspondent Lara Spencer told Good Morning America that John incorporated their love for Disney in a romantic Disneyland proposal!
“He put together some of the most romantic moments from Disney and Pixar animation [in a video]. And then he ended it with Sebastian from The Little Mermaid saying, ‘Just ask the girl’ to John.”
Just two months after John popped the question, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child. As if things couldn’t get better for John and Caitlin, the two tied the knot in a romantic, intimate ceremony inside John’s sprawling Beverly Hills home.
Life was like a dream — and things were about to get better!
After months of waiting for the biggest moment in their lives to happen, Caitlin’s belly popped! The man who was once known around the world as Uncle Jesse from Full Houseannounced that his son, Billy, was born on Sunday, April 15. Uncle Jesse was finally a father!
John posted a heartwarming photo of Billy resting on his chest (seen below) and said:
“From now on, the best part of me will always be my wife and my son. Welcome Billy Stamos (named after my father) #NotJustanUncleAnymore #Overjoyed”
We wish John and Caitlin nothing but the best with little Billy. We know they’re going to make amazing parents!
Listen to John speak about how excited he was to be a father below. Congratulations, you guys!
